VML has rebranded its nearly 100-strong channel activation team to connections to better communicate its mission to connect brands with consumers. Clients include Wendy’s, Electrolux/Frigidaire and Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.
The rebranded practice will be led by Amy Worley, who has been promoted to chief connections officer. Previously she was executive director, channel activation.
Lisa Purpura has been promoted to managing director, media. Since joining VML in March 2017, Purpura is credited with helping grow the agency’s media business by more than 30%. Previously she was a vice president and account director with Havas Media in Chicago.
Of the rebranding VML Jon Cook stated, “Our charter as an agency, across all departments and specifically this department, is to effectively create connected brands.’Connections’ is a term that fits our progression perfectly.”
VML’s retail team will become a connections channel, joining paid media, search, social media and PR channels.
